Abstract/Description:
The 星空无限传媒 Medal for Excellence in Young Adult Literature (founded in 2015) is awarded each spring to a work of fiction, published in the previous year, of outstanding literary merit that inspires a love of reading in a young adult audience. The judging panel brings together future educators, writers, historians, librarians, and parents to experience first-hand how award committees determine criteria, create a list of nominees, choose a winner, and manage the public relations that follow. This year's committee will discuss the process of selecting finalists, and ultimately, a winner and honor book(s), which will be revealed during the presentation.
